We are looking for a Health and Work Environment Advisor!

Accountabilities:

  • Focal point and driving force within preventing work related illness and injuries and no harm to people by monitoring, control, assess and managing health risk factors in work environment.
    • Establish and maintain framework, including procedures, guidelines and relevant software
    • Risk assessments 
    • Health controls 
    • Awareness training 
    • Continuous improvement (Plan – Do – Check - Act)
  • Focal point for nurses and medics in our fleet
  • Ensure that our management system reflects applicable regulations, certifications (ISO45001) and contractual obligations related to occupational health and work environment  
  • Perform the author role for defined procedures
  • Assist operations, projects and offices and be a driving force with focus on:
    • Mapping and risk assessing the working environment
    • Preventive efforts to ensure good health offshore and onshore
    • Overview of work-related health risks onshore and offshore
    • Preventing work related sick-leave
  • Coordinate and promote our work within occupational health and hygiene
  • Analyze, report and benchmark statistics and trends to ensure continuous improvement
  • Drive transfer of best practices and experience transfer between our operations, projects, and offices
  • Be up to date on industry best practices, research, and regulations
  • Ensure medical journal systems are established and operational
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of HSEQ-programs, procedures, initiatives, awareness campaigns, videos, HSE-handbooks and general HSEQ information material 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in health and work environment performance 
  • Contribute to completing annual audit program by performing audits on- and offshore, with special focus on health and work environment  
  • Support in FEEDs as required
  • Support in Tenders as required
  • Support to HR on Mental health, sick leave trends and fatigue and actions needed to mitigate
  • Lead investigations of HSE related incidents if needed (Director HSEQ)
  • Focal point and support for contract content related to Occupational health service providers and topside cover (where relevant) worldwide (Asset Manager/ Regional HSEQ Lead)
  • Act as the company radiation-coordinator
  • Be a driving force with focus on:
    • Health risk Awareness
    • Health Campaigns
       

Qualifications required:

  • Preferably background as nurse, occupational hygienist, or equivalent
  • Higher relevant education equivalent to BSc or MSc
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience 
  • Basic course in radiation protection
  • Operational experience within the offshore industry
  • Familiar with HSE legislation for offshore operations, ideally in Norway, UK and Brazil
  • Systematic and analytic
  • Good cooperation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel offshore and to the countries where we operate
  • Languages: English and Norwegian – written and oral
