Job Description
Produce new documentation and drawings such as Heat Trace layouts, Lighting and small power layouts, etc.
Revise and update existing documentation and drawings.
Prepare work packages for installation.
Conduct electrical calculations (e.g., short circuit, heat trace, and lighting).
Order necessary electrical materials for installation.
Understand and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and drawings from various disciplines.
Qualification Requirements
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as Norsok.
Experience with modifications on both offshore and onshore installations while in operation.
Familiarity with various process and utility systems, including Main Power, Emergency Power, and UPS-supported systems.
Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems as power sources in safety systems.
Experience with engineering systems such as Febdok, Pims, ProArc, STID, ProCoSys, Heat Trace calculation, Tag-systems, and Microstation is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Norwegian language skills are preferred.
5 to 7 years of experience in offshore-related projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology degree with related Trade Certificates
