Are you our next Senior Purchaser?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Purchaser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for local site purchasing, vendor management, and supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with our corporate vision. This position will report to the Head of Site Purchasing and play a key role in ensuring effective purchasing operations across various locations.
Job Description
Local Site Purchasing & Vendor Management: Reassess needs, launch RFI/RFQ, design contracts, and implement continuous improvement plans.
Category Strategy Support: Align purchasing strategies with group objectives and business unit needs.
Reporting: Provide detailed reports on purchasing activities and performance to the site manager, plant manager, and Group Purchasing Department.
Process Implementation: Ensure compliance with Purchasing Rules and implementation of group-wide purchasing initiatives.
Negotiation & Supplier Management: Lead negotiations, manage supplier contracts, and support risk reduction in purchasing.
Cost Analysis & Market Benchmarking: Analyze market trends, develop cost structures, and propose alternative solutions.
Competitiveness Program Leadership: Lead plant-specific competitiveness programs and drive purchasing savings objectives.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Fluent in English (verbal and written), with basic skills in Norwegian preferred.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex analyses.
Knowledge of SAP and Ariba is highly desirable.
Results-driven, adaptable, and capable of fostering strong collaboration across sites and teams.
