We are looking for a Financial Accountant.
The position could be the perfect start to an international career in financial management at Øglænd System AS and the Hilti Group. You will become part of a competent team where you get to work and share your expertise with the aim that together we build and strengthen the team further.

What's the role?
To ensure you have right “basics” in place we offer you to start in our Accounting Department. Here you will get a deep understanding of our day-to-day business operations in accounting and general ledger. In this position, you will report to the local Finance Manager, and this will create the foundation for your future finance career.

After 18 to 24 months, you will get more responsibilities towards our controlling team and step by step become a sparring partner for our Group Business Controller and Offshore Finance business partner. Øglænd System supports and encourages you to learn new things, participate in different projects and drive efficiency of business. You will prepare monthly reports, carry out ad-hoc analyses and forecasting.

Through your tasks in accounting and controlling, you will be well prepared for your future steps withing Finance.

At Øglænd System AS in Norway, you will experience the full operation, from our Plant to Sales and Engineering and Innovation. This will ensure a good understanding of the full business life cycle: from development of products to production and to final sales to customers.

  • You have successfully completed your bachelor’ degree in finance, business administration or similar
  • Some practical experience from internships or work is beneficial.

Example of more specific tasks you will be given during first 12-24 months:
  • Ongoing accounting tasks in areas Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, General ledger, incl. hands-on:
    • Invoicing (manual invoicing and control of automatic invoicing)
    • Customer and supplier follow-up (reconciliation …)
    • Month-end closing and year-end closing activities (provisions, reconciliation, ...)
    • Basic data registration/control in the ERP system (currency, prices/price lists etc.)
  • Controlling tasks:
    • Monitor actual performance against forecast. Analyze root causes for deviations; develop recommendations for adjustments, where necessary
    • Perform scenario planning to identify levers to improve performance, risk assessment, and identification/tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Provide OPEX steering, budgeting/Rolling forecast, pricing analysis, balance sheet reviews
    • ad-hoc financial analysis as needed

We make sure you have
• good knowledge of accounting standards (local and IFRS) and accounting basics
• have knowledge of ERP system, understanding of main process flows

The working language will be Norwegian, but with solid portion of English, as we have expats in our team in Norway, and also because we are part of a larger international group where the working language is English.

We want to build on our team with a person who has relevant education / experience in finance, who enjoys accounting work, is accurate, likes to meet deadlines and who at the same time looks for improvements where they can be found.
