Job Description

  • Manage local site purchasing and vendor relationships, ensuring the efficient execution of purchasing strategies and contracts.

  • Support the definition of category strategies in line with group and business unit visions.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for purchasing issues at sites under your purview.

  • Prepare and present purchasing performance reports to plant managers, site managers, and the Group Purchasing Department.

  • Collaborate closely with BPO positions to support stakeholder needs.

  • Drive risk mitigation and cost reduction strategies, consolidate purchasing needs, and lead negotiations with suppliers.

  • Manage contracts, performance evaluations, and market trend analysis.

  • Contribute to supplier market analysis and the identification of alternative solutions.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Purchasing Rules and General Management Procedures.

  • Leverage negotiation tools to secure the best deals considering cost, quality, and planning factors.

  • Prepare offer evaluations during RFQs and lead discussions with relevant teams before placing orders.

  • Use evaluation templates (TCO) where applicable and meet KPI targets related to savings, CSR scorecards, and e-auctions.

  • Ensure our supply chain meets CSR expectations and involve competition in all purchasing processes.

  • Lead the competitiveness program for your assigned plants and follow up on year-to-date (YTD) and year-end (YEO) results.

  • Establish frame agreements with suppliers, always securing three compliant offers for purchases above €50,000.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • 1-5 years of purchasing experience.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English (basic Norwegian skills preferred).

  • Competitive, positive mindset with strong analytical skills in Excel.

  • Adaptable and results-oriented.

  • Experience with SAP and Ariba is preferred.
