Job Description

  • Monitor and ensure that all activities are in compliance with company frameworks, contract agreements, Yard Execution Plans, and relevant regulations.
  • Prioritize health, safety, and the environmental impact of personnel, equipment, and the working environment.
  • Act in accordance with Altera’s core values and HSE program, representing Altera to ensure that commissioning activities are executed as per the plan, in cooperation with the project team.
  • Maintain effective communication and alignment between the base organization and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the AIP operations team and the client to provide clear guidance and clarifications regarding scope of work definition.
  • Coordinate with the JV Yard organization, Altera Construction Team, and the client to ensure compliance and verification activities are carried out.
  • Participate in the establishment of a Commissioning network in the Project Completion System (PIMS CMS) for effective planning and management of commissioning activities.
  • Ensure that commissioning activities are planned and executed on schedule.
  • Contribute to the Management of Change process and attend project risk workshops to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Support Construction and Commissioning interfaces across all disciplines, including engineering and contractors.
  • Drive the development and implementation of commissioning activities for the FPSO project.
  • Verify and approve IDC comments in commissioning for assigned systems.
  • Prepare commissioning dossiers and procedures for Process systems.
  • Participate in the handover process from Commissioning to Operations for assigned Process systems.
  • Engage in work pack review sessions and assist with work pack preparation.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID’s, HAZOP’s, and other safety studies.
  • Report any delays in progress to the Commissioning Process Lead within your area of responsibility.
  • Participate in meetings, inspections, and tri-party walks.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines and request assistance from discipline resources as needed.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required by the Mechanical & Utility Lead.

Qualification Requirements

  • Fluent written and verbal skills in English.
  • Relevant experience in shipyard environments is an advantage.
  • Recent experience in UK project execution is an advantage.
