We are looking for E&I Inspectors!
The EIT Construction Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the construction installation for Hull & Topside has been completed to the approved specification, Class, and Flag State requirements, regulatory bodies, approved drawings and contracts.
Job Description
Ensure that all daily activities are carried out in conformance with laws, regulations and contractual requirements.In particular health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of
Promotion of the HSE awareness and advise on health and safety during fabrication, installation and mechanical completion
Follow up Contractors MC installation and testing activities for the EIT systems
Follow and track daily MCCR status and outstanding check sheets to complete sub systems to be handed over til commissioning in accordance with projects scheduled plan
Contribute to Companys punch killing team and strategy for timely handing over sub systems to commissioning
Follow up on projects ATEX inspections and contribute to problem solving and early information to engineering and compliance team on daily issues
Ensure that activities are planned, performed and documented in accordance with the project specifications and Company technical requirements
Perform material receiving inspections of all EIT equipment and document accordingly with special focus on preservation
Liaise with the inspection team regarding inspections, technical information, standard requirements, regulations and practices
Contribute to a constructive and professional working relationship between Contractor's and Company's Team members with a positive spirit
When required, assist other site team inspectors and participate in other various construction activities
Maintain, archive and storage inspection reports and track records from all electrical (example: cables, switchboards), instrument (example: tubing, fiber, level 1 loop test), telecom (example: telecom specific equipments & cable tests)
Attending yards morning toolbox talks and contribute with important HSE inputs. Monitoring of the daily fabrication progress and quality
Ensure that materials, equipment and skills of personnel used for fabrication and installation are of a required standard and qualification according to recognized standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in inspections and testing as required
Qualification Requirements
Knowledge and experience with international ship building standards and class societies requirements
Strong knowledge and experience with offshore production facilities standards Minimum 10 years of experience within Electrical, Instrument & Telecom
Inspections with both low- and high voltages equipment and systems
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
The ability to cooperate in a multi cultural environment
Grasps essential details and can act on incomplete data and complete RLMU’s
Valid Atex (COMPEX or similar) certification training
revious experience with UK sector and Equinor projects will be considered as an advantage
Duration is until September 30, 2025
