We are looking for a Purchasing Manager!

The Tender and Project Purchasing Manager will manage and coordinate all purchasing activities for tenders and projects, working closely with category managers and project teams to ensure compliance with purchasing procedures.

Job Description

  • Manage one or more tenders/projects, adhering to the project and purchasing models.

  • Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, overseeing all required deliveries during tender and project phases.

  • Oversee purchasing activities, including supplier sourcing, selection, cost evaluation, and negotiations for materials, services, and equipment.

  • Prepare and maintain the Procurement Plan (PP) in collaboration with project teams.

  • Ensure supplier compliance with client contractual and purchasing requirements.

  • Conduct RFQs, analyze offers, and finalize agreements after negotiations.

  • Source new suppliers and ensure proper qualification and documentation.

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with EU directives and corporate policies.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of savings, cost avoidance, and other procurement-related KPIs.

  • Actively participate in risk meetings to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.

  • Ensure compliance with the clients Code of Ethics and participate in departmental meetings.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain (or equivalent relevant experience).

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain.

  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in e-sourcing platforms.

  • Experience with SAP (knowledge of BI & Ariba is an advantage).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage high-pressure periods.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive and commercially driven with a strong ability to prioritize and deliver results.
