For a project in Dubai, we are looking for a Interface and Technical Change Control Lead

 

Job Description

  • Ensure discipline activities conform to company frameworks, contract requirements, Project Execution Plan, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Foster strong communication and cooperation between the base organization and project teams.
  • Maintain and manage the interface management and change control system.
  • Handle technical aspects of changes, minimize design changes, and implement necessary project changes.
  • Manage all critical interfaces, ensuring that changes impacting contract exhibits, project cost, and schedule are properly handled through the change control system.
  • Oversee Technical Queries (TQs) and Action Tracking processes, ensuring timely follow-ups and closure of actions.
  • Implement interface requirements in contracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and organize regular interface coordination meetings.
  • Proactively resolve any issues where agreement between interfacing contractors is not achieved.
  • Report regularly on interface and change status to the Project Engineering Manager and PDE Project Control Team.
  • Evaluate discrepancies between Interface systems and those required by the Client or PDE specifications.
  • Expedite TQ answering and Action Tracker closeout processes within the PDE team and with external contractors and the Client.
  • Contribute to technical audits and experience transfer initiatives.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and management standards are implemented within interface systems.

Qualification Requirements

  • Technical education at bachelor’s level or higher in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in interface management, particularly in the oil and gas or related industry.
  • Recent experience working with electronic interface management systems is essential; experience with PIMS interface and change control modules is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UK rules and regulations and experience in the UK North Sea project execution is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multidiscipline project team.
  • Excellent diplomatic and assertiveness skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Previous experience working in Middle East and/or Southeast Asian shipyards.
