PC+L Manager
My client is seeking an experienced professional to manage all on-site storage locations, ensuring seamless parts reception and distribution according to business needs. The goal is to develop and lead an internal team capable of delivering world-class performance.
Responsibilities
Resource Management: Oversee warehouse and material flow functions, ensuring participation and commitment from all business areas.
Customer Satisfaction: Maintain 100% on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers.
Freight Management: Handle all internal and external freight, including special requirements.
Waste Management: Ensure effective waste segregation and maximize recycling potential.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: Assist with NPI activities.
Production Support: Ensure the correct supply and flow of materials/stillages to production teams.
Equipment Management: Oversee all on-site MHE/LGVs, manage costs, monitor utilization, impact data, and driver performance.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels to ensure a seamless supply to manufacturing.
Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Work Environment: Create a world-class working environment for all warehouse, yard, and WIP areas.
Stock Takes: Support company stock take requirements.
Team Development: Effectively manage, mentor, and develop the Logistics Team to foster a high-performance culture.
Process Ownership: Take ownership of the companys logistics processes, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of resources and information.
Workload Management: Balance workloads across the department to support colleagues, especially during busy periods or absences.
IT Systems Management: Oversee logistics IT systems/databases and ensure all key documentation is maintained.
Project Coordination: Work closely with the Projects team to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.
Requirements
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in managing MHE/LGV fleets.
Proficiency in using integrated MRP/ERP systems.
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Previous automotive experience or tier 1 exposure.
Proven experience in managing warehouses and material flow.
