About the Role:
Join our Production team in Eastbourne and take the lead in daily factory operations, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery. Your efforts will contribute to a world-class manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and mentor team members through regular 1:1s, appraisals, and Personal Development Plans (PDPs). Coach individuals to close performance gaps and develop future leaders.
- Collaborate with production coaches to identify knowledge gaps and implement training, ensuring team alignment with SQDCP targets.
- Oversee shift operations, promote efficiency across production processes, and maintain a safe, organized working environment through 5S principles and daily management practices.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives by involving your team to resolve issues on-site and reduce production disruptions. Work with Manufacturing and Test Engineers to drive continuous improvements.
- Maintain compliance with ISO9001 and ISO4001 standards using Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and contributing to audits and certifications.
- Champion Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by conducting regular audits and promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Work collaboratively to meet customer and stakeholder commitments, ensuring the team achieves targets and delivers on plans.
- Support the shop floor by assisting with packing and production tasks when needed, including covering shift absences to ensure smooth operations.
What Were Looking For:
- Experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar industry is advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with experience in career development and performance management.
- Knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement practices is desirable.
