HGV Class 1 Driver and Transport Operator - Magor, Monmouthshire

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver/Transport Assistant

Location: Magor, Caldicot

Employment Type: Temp to Perm contract

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off Nights 1800-0600

Salary:  £16.33 nights plus £1.97ph rolled up holiday pay available.

MDE Group UK LTD are  recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver with transport office experienceto join our clients established team based in the Magor area.

This is a combination of driving and learning the operations in the office to flip between the 2 roles.

Job Description:

• Class 1, straight forward curtain work, load up, reload and back. If on locals there may be another drop out and back
• The other half of the role will be holiday/sickness cover on nights helping in the transport office with:-
  • driver pre and de brief
  • customer queries communicating any issues with deliveries
  • driver queries
  • assisting with defects, vehicle compliance

Requirements:

• Previous transport office experience an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of tacho use and working time
• Daily vehicle checks ensuring any issues are reported immediately
• Load security is paramount to this role.
• Good customer service

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 1 Licence with 6 months experience required
• Max 6 points with no major endorsements (DD/DG/DR/IN/TT/CD/UT)
• Valid Tacho
• Valid CPC
