Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Installation Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the operational delivery of contracts throughout the installation phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the installation team, in-house electricians, operational support team, and any sub-contractor teams to ensure operational delivery is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensure that all installations are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Take responsibility for the overall quality of our installations.
- Provide support and guidance to team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all parties are aware of progress and any issues that may arise.
- Responsible for identifying training needs, organising, and recording training
- Identifying resource gaps/opportunities and recruitment for Operations Support team
- Working with the Post-Installation Manager & Sales & Project Management Director to implement improvements to the working practices of the Installation Teams, to minimise repeat post install issues.
Role Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for the team.
- Outstanding organisation and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- MUST have leadership and management experience.
- MUST have Health & Safety management/assessment experience
- MUST have people management experience.
- Ideally has electrical engineering background/commercial electrical
- Ideally has quality management, standards and process management
- Ideally have 1-2 years commercial solar PV experience.
- Ideally educated to degree level.
