The Role
As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing workplace safety across two UK locations. This role is primarily based in Severn Beach, with regular travel to a second site in Newbury. You’ll lead initiatives to maintain compliance, drive improvements, and embed a strong safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a consistent health & safety culture across both sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Manage risk assessments, method statements, and safe working procedures.
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Produce and present reports on health & safety KPIs, trends, and improvements.
- Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams to manage contractor safety.
- Chair monthly health & safety meetings and provide updates to senior leadership.
- Stay up to date with legislative changes and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience in a Health & Safety management role within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
✔ NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
✔ IOSH Managing Safety certification.
✔ Strong knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
✔ Ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels.
✔ Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
✔ Experience in data analysis, reporting, and presenting key safety information.
