Are you looking for a new role within HV? MDE are working with a leading manufacturer who due to continued growth are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their team to cover sites UK wide and abroad.
The role involves overseeing the installation and commissioning of distribution transformers on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys of project sites to assess feasibility and cost of distribution transformer installation.
- Supervise distribution transformer installation and commissioning, ensuring adherence to safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure high-quality installation of distribution transformers, with fully functional and operational equipment.
- Provide on-site technical services, including accident handling, product maintenance and replacement, and technical service effect evaluation and training.
- Maintain accurate records of project-related activities, such as installation progress, material usage, customer information, feedback, and inspection, and process regular III-level information and costs.
- Identify and oversee the inspection, coordination, and acceptance process for suspected quality problems and regional returns and exchanges.
- Provide technical support services, including leading product technical consultations, product selection, and product knowledge.
- Deliver training to regional customers on troubleshooting and maintenance of sales products.
- Continuous improvement of regional customer service and integration of daily business operations into overseas states and regions management and operations.
Education and Experience
- Hold a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field.
- Possess 3+ years of experience in the installation and commissioning of distribution transformers.
- Demonstrate expertise in the installation and commissioning process of transformers (132kv to 400kv) and prefabricated substations, with the ability to independently address operational and maintenance issues.
- Have experience with SAT for power transformers.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be willing to travel within the UK and EU countries and work on-site as required.
