​Job Description

Project Planner (PP) is responsible for establishing, implementing and updating the necessary activity and resource plans for assigned project(s) in close coordination with Project Manager, HR, client’s representative (i.e Client Planning Department or Centre of Operations). Furthermore, PP is responsible for all progress reporting from the project.

Field of responsibility The PP’s responsibility includes (but is not limited to):

  • Establishing, updating and reporting on all project plans
  • Attending and contributing to planning meetings both internally and with client(s) and contractors
  • Ensuring that established plans can be realized by close coordination and collaboration with the necessary stakeholders (i.e. client, vendors, personnel planner, procurement department, foremen)
  • Establishing and maintaining a high competence level within company project management system (PIMS) and planning systems (i.e. Safran Project and/or client’s planning system)
  • Integration of project plans both internally and with clients and vendors
  • Supporting Planning Manager in establishing company best practice for project planning

The PP’s reporting responsibility includes (but is not limited to):

  • Progress reporting internally (to Project Manager and Planning Manager) and toward clients in accordance with agreed standards
  • Manpower overview in PIMS updated weekly for 6 weeks ahead (as a minimum)
  • Information concerning High Activity Periodes (HAP) or Turnarounds that will result in heavy increase or decrease of personnel continuously as information becomes available
  • HSE and risk reporting as necessary
